WARD SCENT respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the WARD SCENT mobile application uses device permissions and handles information when you use the app to discover, connect to, and control compatible WARD SCENT fragrance devices.
Permissions and Information Accessed
To work with compatible WARD SCENT devices, the app may request the following permissions on your Android device:
- Bluetooth / Nearby Devices: to discover, connect to, and control compatible WARD SCENT devices.
- Location: only on Android versions where the operating system requires this permission for Bluetooth device discovery.
- Internet access: to load limited device-related resources or content.

Bluetooth / Nearby Devices
WARD SCENT uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to discover nearby compatible devices, connect to a selected device, send control commands, and receive device status and responses.
Location Permission
On some Android versions, the operating system requires Location permission for Bluetooth device discovery. WARD SCENT uses this permission only as required for nearby BLE discovery and does not use it to track your physical location.
Bluetooth Device Communication
Bluetooth communication takes place directly between your mobile device and the connected WARD SCENT device. This may include device identification, connection status, device settings, operating schedules, fragrance settings, control commands, and device status responses.
Internet Access
The app may use internet access to load limited device-related resources or content required by the application. This internet access is separate from the direct Bluetooth control connection with the fragrance device.
Personal Data
WARD SCENT does not require a user account for normal Bluetooth device control. The app does not request personal information such as your name, postal address, phone number, or payment details for normal device control.
Data Sharing
WARD SCENT does not use Bluetooth device-control information for advertising purposes. Information handled by the app is not sold for advertising or marketing purposes.
Data Retention
Device-related settings may be stored locally on your mobile device. Local application data may remain until you clear the app data, uninstall the app, or the application removes or replaces that information.
Data Security
WARD SCENT uses reasonable technical measures to protect information handled by the application. Bluetooth communication is limited to compatible devices selected by the user.
Children’s Privacy
WARD SCENT is not specifically designed for children and does not knowingly request personal information from children for normal device control.
Third-Party Technical Services
The app may include standard third-party technical libraries required for Android application functionality, user interface components, or loading device-related content. These libraries are used only as necessary for application functionality.
Your Choices
You can manage Bluetooth, Nearby Devices, and Location permissions through your Android device settings. Disabling a required permission may prevent the app from discovering or connecting to WARD SCENT devices.
